Once you have placed an order either verbally over the telephone, via email or over the internet you have entered in to a legally binding contract with Rock It Inflatables Ltd to protect both you the client/hirer and the hire company, however we understand that sometimes cancellations are unavoidable on either part and we have set out a fair and reasonable Booking & Cancellation Policies.
If for any reason, we cannot accept your booking we will advise in writing by email and refund any monies paid. All bookings are subject to our approval and acceptance.
Email confirmations will be sent via email within 48 hours of receiving your booking.
Below you find our Terms & Conditions of Booking and our Terms & Conditions of Hire which both form part of this booking contract.
TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BOOKING
DEFINITIONS
The “Client” means the person(s), organisation or company booking the equipment with Rock It Inflatables Limited
The “Company” means Rock It Inflatables Limited
The “Equipment” means all items and accompanying accessories hired or supplied by the Company to the Client.
The “Booking” means Equipment owned or contracted in by the Company reserved/supplied for use by the Client on a specific date(s).
BOOKINGS
1.1 By placing a Booking with the Company either verbally or in writing, including email or online, it is deemed that the Client has thoroughly read, understood, fully agreed and is bound by the ‘Terms and Conditions of Hire’, and ‘Terms of Booking and Cancellation Policy’.
1.2 If traffic or any other uncontrollable circumstances prevent the Company from being able to achieve the booking in it’s entirety, our liability shall be limited to a refund of any monies paid. No further compensation will be paid irrespective.
1.3 If for reasons beyond the Companies control Equipment is not set up for the start time of a party or event, the Company will endeavor to make up the hire period by collecting the Equipment later to make up any loss of hire time where reasonably possible. No refund will be offered for loss of hire time, unless the Company was clearly at fault, which is limited to a maximum of 50% of the total hire fee on a pro rota basis.
PRICES, DEPOSIT AND BALANCE PAYMENTS
2.1 All Bookings are subject to non-refundable Booking Fee/deposit based on our Deposit Policy. The Booking Fee will be deducted from the final Booking Value.
2.2 The balance of the Booking Fee must be paid in full and cleared funds, as per the terms set out in the Clients Booking Confirmation, prior to the commencement of the hire period stated on the Booking Confirmation.
2.3 Advertised prices are subject to change without prior notification.
2.4 Booking charges include setting up and pulling down of the equipment with in the time frames specified in the Clients Booking Confirmation
2.5 If the payment contract is not met as per the Booking Confirmation, the Company hold the right to cancel, suspend or add interest on any outstanding payments. Payments with added interest will be added to the invoiced amount and will be increased over the course of the balance not being paid. A debt recovery cost of £50 will be added on top of an 8.25% interest rate (based on 0.25% base rate from the Bank of England, August 2016).
CANCELLATIONS
3.1 Any cancelled Booking is subject to our Company Cancellation Policy.
3.2 The Company reserve the right to cancel outdoor Bookings if the wind speed, including gusts, are forecast to exceed 24mph. The Client will be able to transfer the Booking Fee to another date up to 1 year in advance.
3.3 The Company will charge to Client 100% of the hire fee if the items hired will not fit in the area provided. Any replacement items, if available, will be charged accordingly as per the advertised prices on the website and will not be supplied until the fee for the original items are paid for.
3.4 The Company will accept cancellation for a Booking value of £100 or less up to 12noon the day before the hire date. The Clients Booking Fee and any monies paid to the Company will be not refunded but can be transferred up to 1 year in advance. Cancellation after 12noon the day before the hire will be liable for 100% of the booking value within 7 days. Exceptions will be made at the discretion of the Company if cancellation is due to adverse weather.
3.5 The Company will accept cancellation for a Booking value of more than £100 up to 21 days before the hire date. The Clients Booking Deposit and any monies paid to the Company will be not refunded but can be transferred up to 1 year in advance. Cancellation with less than 21 days up to 12noon the day before the hire will be liable for 50% of the booking value paid within 7 days of cancellation. Cancellation after 12noon the day before the hire will be liable for 100% of the booking value within 7 days. Exceptions will be made at the discretion of the Company if cancellation is due to adverse weather.
3.6 Under UK law in general, a client has the right to cancel an order, service or product within 14 days of placing an order. However, due to the nature of our business, the hire of our products and services are exempt under the exemption of leisure service activities on specific dates. The exemption helps protect traders with limited capacity per a date and are limited in ability to resell or fill the capacity should the client change their mind. This cover includes but is not limited to performance tickets, car hire, wedding venues etc.

EQUIPMENT
4.1 All Equipment supplied by the Company remains the property of Rock It Inflatables Ltd
4.2 The Company reserves the right to substitute hired equipment with equipment of a similar type and value without notice in the event of previous damage or loss of booked equipment/items.
4.3 All sizes quoted are approximate.
4.4 It is the responsibility of the Client to ensure the Equipment is fully supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
4.5 The Client or their representative must read and sign the Terms & Conditions of Hire, which gives rules regarding the safe use of the Equipment, as provided in the Booking Confirmation and/or at time of set up of the Equipment.
4.6 The Client is responsible for the Equipment during the hire period. Any loss or damage will result in the Client being invoiced for the full replacement value or repair of the item(s). The Company will also have the right to claim reasonable compensation for loss of earnings while waiting for a repair or replacement item. Any loss or malicious damage must be reported to the police and an incident number logged if the client wishes to make a claim via an insurance company.
4.7 All Equipment must be used in accordance of the Company Terms & Condition of Hire
SITE LOCATION, FACILITIES AND CONDUCT
5.1 Please ensure the area provided offers sufficient space and suitability as per the dimensions and descriptions stated on the Company website.
5.2 The Client is responsible to ensure adequate and safe 240V AC mains supply is available on delivery and throughout the hire period. The Company cannot be held liable for power cuts/loss of power. No compensation will be paid for loss of use due to power failure.
5.3 The Company reserves the right to refuse delivery if the venue or site is deemed to be unsuitable by our delivery personnel or if the Client has failed to notify the company of any delivery obstructions such as stairs or excessive loading distances from our vehicle to the set up site. In such case no refund will be given and 100% of the hire fee will be due within 7 days.
5.4 The Company reserves the right to cease operation and remove hired equipment from site if at any time a representative of the Company feels that the Client or their guests conduct endangers the safety of users of the Equipment or the safety of the Equipment. In such cases, no refund will be given.
LIABILITY AND INSURANCE
6.1 The Company holds £10,000,000 Public Liability Insurance and is can provide a copy of the insurance certificate upon the client’s request.
6.2 The Client agrees to indemnify the Company for any damage or theft of equipment whilst on hire.
6.3 The Company accepts no liability for any damage or loss of personal property and/or any injury arising from the use of the hired Equipment.
MISCELLANEOUS TERMS
7.1 If any provision of these terms shall be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable under contract law, then that provision, or portion thereof, shall be deemed separate from the rest of this contract and shall not affect the validity and enforce-ability of any remaining provisions, or portions thereof.
REFUNDS
8.1 Refunds will be limited to 50% of the total Booking value, excluding delivery charges, unless the Company have failed to deliver the Equipment in their entirety for the duration of the hire period.
8.2 If the Company fail to deliver the Equipment in it’s entirety, for the full duration of the hire times or event, where the Client or their representatives are not at fault, the Company will refund the Client 100% of the Booking value. No compensation will be issued.
8.3 Any agreed refunds will be issued within 30 days of the hire date.
COMPLAINTS
9.1 In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with any aspect of our equipment or services provided, please make your delivery team aware on the day of your hire and put your complaint in writing and email to info@rockitinflatables.co.uk We will acknowledge and deal with your complaint within 2 working days.
TERMS and CONDITIONS OF HIRE
Definitions
1.1 The "Client" means the person/s, organisation or company booking the equipment with the "Company".
1.2 The "Company" means Rock It Inflatables Limited.
1.3 The equipment will be any or all items owned by the Company that have been supplied to the Client for the duration of the hire period.
Bookings
2.1 All equipment remains the property of the Company
2.2 By placing a booking with the Company, whether verbally, written or electronically, the Client is bound by the Company terms and conditions of hire
Disclaimer
3.1 Please note that all persons using the equipment do so at their own risk. The Client is fully responsible / liable for any damage or injury occurring from or as a result of misuse or reckless use. These guidelines are for the safety of all people using this equipment and it is the sole responsibility of the Client to ensure they are adhered to. The Company cannot accept any responsibility for any injury, loss or damage caused to anyone using this equipment either through accident, neglect or misuse.
Condition of Hire
4.1 It is the responsibility of the Client to ensure the equipment is fully supervised by a responsible adult at ALL TIMES.
4.2 NO persons over the age of 15 are permitted on the equipment unless stated otherwise. Some equipment has younger age restrictions as stated on the website, if unsure, please ask a member of staff or refer to the Company website.
4.3 NO persons under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any other intoxicating substance are allowed on the equipment.
4.4 NO food, drink, gum, pets, toys and/or sharp implements are permitted on the equipment, including mats.
4.5 Users of the equipment must remove shoes, glasses, jewellery, badges, any long necklaces, buckles or sharp objects.
4.6 Ensure equipment is not overcrowded. It is recommend a maximum number of 8 children on larger inflatables and less on smaller inflatables. Limit numbers according to the age and size of children using it. Try to avoid large and small children from using it at the same time.
4.7 Prevent horseplay and ensure children are not pushing, colliding, fighting or behaving in a manner likely to injure or cause distress to others.
4.8 NO climbing on the sides, roof or supporting beams of the inflatable. If applicable, users must not climb/stand on stacked soft play shapes.
4.9 If applicable, Slides are to be used by sliding down feet first only. Obstacle Courses must operate a one way round system from start to finish.
4.10 NO silly string, streamers, party poppers or similar ink based products on or near the equipment. These such products contain stain, and are difficult to remove. The cost of cleaning will be charged to the client at £30 per hour plus costs. If not removable full replacement/repair costs are liable by client. If using face paint, please ensure this is water based and easily removed with a cloth. Staining left by face paint will result in the Client being invoiced for cleaning or repair
4.11 Users who are, or have suffered from Neck, Back, or Heart conditions, feel unwell, or who are Pregnant are not permitted on equipment.
4.12 NO water and/or hosepipes are permitted on the equipment.
4.13 Ensure safety mats are in the correct position at the entrance and exit points of the inflatable at all times.
4.14 Users are not permitted on the equipment during set up until the company representative has agreed it is safe to use, nor are users permitted on an inflatable during time of inflation or deflation.
4.15 Keep children clear of all electrical connections, fan unit and extension leads.
4.16 Do NOT allow any heat/fire sources including cigarettes, BBQ’s, fires, heaters or similar, on or near the equipment.
4.17 The client is NOT permitted to move the equipment from the position it is erected/set up once the Company representative has left the premises.
4.18 For outdoor hires, the equipment must not be used in heavy rain or windy conditions. In the event of rain, remove all users from the equipment until the rain has past, then dry off any water with a towel, before use continues. The industry recommends a maximum wind speed of Force 5 on the Beaufort scale of 28 - 38 kph (19-24 mph) when using inflatables. Force 5 is a fresh breeze when small trees and leaves begin to sway, whereas Force 6 is a strong breeze when large branches are in motion, whistling can be heard in telephone lines and umbrellas can only be handled with difficulty. 4.19 Check periodically that the inflatable is securely tied to the fan and the stakes or anchorage is still securing the equipment to the ground where applicable. If at all in doubt – do not use the equipment and call the Company.
4.20 The equipment will be supplied to the Client in a clean condition and it is the responsibility of the Client to have the equipment in the same condition at time of collection. Failure to do so will result in the Company charging the Client at £30 per hour to clean the inflatable.
4.21 The Client agrees to pay the full cost of repair, including carriage to and from the manufacturer, for any damage caused to the equipment, whether malicious or accidental, whether by human, animal or other, other than wear and tear during the duration of the hire period.
4.22 The Client agrees to return all items at the end of the hire period. It is the Clients responsibility to ensure all items hired are available for collection; any lost, stolen or damaged items will be invoiced by the Company to the Client. The hirer MUST ensure that any persons collecting the equipment are representatives of the Company by requesting proof of the Booking ID number quoted on booking correspondence and signed Terms & Conditions.
4.23 The Client must inform the Company of any underground services on the site where the inflatable is to be set up.
Power Supply
5.1 Client is responsible to ensure adequate and safe 240V AC mains supply is available on delivery and throughout the hire period. The Company cannot be held liable for power cuts /loss of power. No compensation will be paid for loss of use. If loss of power occurs, remove users IMMEDIATELY
5.2 It is the Clients responsibility to ensure the fan unit is not obstructed with any material or objects that covers the airflow inlet. In the event of mechanical breakdown of fuel or electric fans, call the office immediately and where possible a replacement will be supplied at the earliest convenience. Any loss of use of equipment will not be compensated unless due to a fault of the Company. Compensation is calculated pro rota of the cost of the hire, excluding any delivery charges, based on the event/party times. No further compensation will be paid irrespective of expenses occurred.
5.3 If petrol/diesel fans/generators are being used, ensure that a safety barrier is erected at all times around the fan/generator. When re-fuelling the fan, remove all persons from the equipment, deflate and refuel with utmost care and attention.
